What exactly is CHIRPSTR?
CHIRPSTR is an iOS app for runners. You load it up with voice messages recorded by your family, friends, and coaches — then during your run, those messages play through your headphones right in the middle of your music at timed intervals. It's like having your support crew with you every step of the way.
Do my supporters need to download anything?
Nope. You share a unique link with your supporters and they record their message directly in a mobile browser — no app download, no account required. It takes about 30 seconds.
When do chirps play during my run?
Chirps play on a time-based schedule that you set up before your run. For example, you might have a chirp from Mom play at 20 minutes, one from your coach at 45 minutes, and one from your partner at the 1-hour mark. You're in full control of the timing.
Will chirps interrupt my music?
Yes — intentionally. When a chirp plays, your music ducks down and the voice message comes through clearly. Once it finishes, your music picks right back up. It feels natural and doesn't break your rhythm.
How long can a chirp be?
Up to 30 seconds. That's long enough to say something meaningful, but short enough to keep you moving without breaking your focus.
Is CHIRPSTR only for marathon runners?
Not at all. CHIRPSTR works for any run — a 5K, a half marathon, a long training run, or even a tough workout. If you've got people who want to cheer you on, CHIRPSTR gets their voices in your ears.
Is CHIRPSTR free?
CHIRPSTR has a free tier that lets you get started with a handful of chirps. For unlimited chirps, custom playlists, and priority scheduling, CHIRPSTR Pro is available for $0.99/month or $9.99/year.
Does it work with my headphones?
Yes. CHIRPSTR works with any headphones or earbuds your iPhone supports — AirPods, Bluetooth headphones, wired earbuds, you name it.
What happens to my voice recordings?
Your chirps are stored securely and are only accessible to you. We don't share them, sell them, or use them for anything else. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.
Is CHIRPSTR available on Android?
